First Outing of 2014 -- Brickworks

Adventures on our first outing of the season --- a great ride to Brickworks and their fabulous farmers and food market!  But had to get the lock cut on my bike because while wandering around I managed to lose my keys.  Thanks to Theresa for her great idea to talk to Pete's Bike Shop and find someone who could saw off the lock.  And the patience of both Alicja and Theresa -- you know who your friends are in moments like these :-)

We have been cycling to the Distillery District -- great scones and coffee!  will post  pix soon

OK - the site has been dormant but not b/c we haven't been cycling!  I averaged about 3x week commute to work till mid October then once a week, and I am planning to get back up to 3 times through the winter...

Total KM Sunday Sept 16-Sat Sept 22 = 101.38 km

Total KM Sunday 9- Saturday15 = 95.41 km

Sept 3 - Sept 9 collective KM. Down this week -lots of people traveling mon- thurs. Friday: 26.8 km Saturday poured with rain. Sunday we made up for it with a Pickering to Whitby return 42 km. x 4 = 168 km Go team and welcome to Joanne our honorary member from Markham! So total KM - 194.8 Also congratulations to Theresa who has now cycled over 1000 km for the year!!!
